Arc Earth offers customized safari experiences across Africa. Matt Meyer & Richard de Gouveia come at the Africa experience from different directions and arrived at the same destination – an experience through which the traveller made a positive difference in the lives of the people and places encountered. Matt has decades as an African bush ranger and guide. Richard has decades of photo-safari guiding and international recognition as a photo-artist. They met, literally, on the road.
Regina Mundi was a guiding hand in forging a collaboration of the solo enterprises run by the two men with the critical support of their spouses and children. The years of thought, process, trial & error, and the result became ARC Earth. Acting with a set of common goals Matt & Richard were able to build the business while building their own families away from the field in Los Angeles and Lisbon respectively.
Together the partners have earned the endorsements of respected conservation operations, including Empowers Africa, among the many. The ARC Earth method distributes 400% more than any others in its competitive set of its earnings to a select group of non-profits working in the communities visited. The engagement with the people who host the travellers doesn’t stop when the visit is over. Through grants, program support, and mentoring of community activists the partners are able to build lasting relationships with impactful outcomes.
